Modern Form Kitchens were delighted to be chosen to renovate this 200 year lodge in Deans Grange Dublin. The building was is decent shape when we started but it needed a facelift badly. The decor was dated and there was no real identity to the property. The home owners have certainly put there stamp on their beautiful home.
We renovated each room from top to bottom. We started downstairs in the bedrooms after our tiler had laid the travertine tiles over the under floor heating. Large fitted wardrobes with handle less white doors were fitted in the three bedrooms with plenty of storage in each. Drawers, hanging and shelves were in each room and we filled in the top of the wardrobe to stop dust collecting there.
The fourth room down stairs in a play room for the kids and is a real feast for the eyes. The lift up doors for toy storage were painted red, blue yellow and white and fitted in a pattern which is great to look at.
We added so extra storage in the two downstairs bathroom and fitted out the laundry room with need doors and storage with a stacked washing machine and dryer unit.
along the hallway downstairs we designed and fitted a 7 meter long by 2.4 meter book case on one side of the hall and angled drawers and a desk with the option for sitting of standing when working from home. The book case goes over each door downstairs to make the most of the storage for their many many books.
Next we move upstairs where we created scaffold shelf book cases in two of the living rooms and in the dinning room we created a home bar and scaffold wine rack which holds over 50 bottles.
At the back doors is the cloak room where we created full height storage including top box units, 2.5 meters of coat racks and a bench with drawers for more storage. There is also a tall in frame units with more drawers and shelves inside painted a custom blue colour.
Next to that is a toilet with a sliding barn style door which we salvaged from the building to restore it. The toilet was made a little smaller to create more space for the cloak room.
Last but not least is the in frame kitchen painted brilliant white with quartz worktops from Miller Brothers. The kitchens includes a stove, Belfast sink, pull out bins, dishwasher, 2.8 meter tall bank of units the end ones being curved. The floating shelves are 2.8 meters long with recessed led lights. The floor tiles were handmade by a craftsman in Waterford which look really good with this beautiful kitchen.
